2009 TEENS' TOP TEN ANNOUNCED
More than 11,000 teen voters chose Paper Towns as their favorite book in the 2009 Teens' Top Ten! The online poll took place from Aug. 24 through Sept. 18, with the winners announced during Teen Read Week by WWE Divas Brie Bella and Nikki Bella, with a special appearance by John Green. TEENS' TOP TEN VOTING Aug. 24-Sept. 18
In the back corner of the New Canaan Library's teen area there is a large shelftop display of the 25 books that are nominated for the 2009 Teen's Top Ten award. Each book has a bright yellow label on the spine saying "2009 TTT nominee." If you are between the ages of 12 and 18, you can cast an online vote for your favorite between August 24th and September 18th.
Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year. Nominators are members of teen book groups in fifteen school and public libraries around the country.
