WORKING ON THAT COLLEGE APPLICATION ESSAY?

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS:
FREE "WRITE FOR COLLEGE" HELP AT THE LIBRARY

Trying to get that application essay just right? Make an appointment at the Library to get some valuable advice from applications consultant Joe Cooper, a college English Composition professor and newspaper columnist. In a 30-minute session, he will help you come up with ideas for thoughtful, substantive responses to the "prompts" posed by particular colleges and the Common Ap. If you already have a draft of your essay, please bring 2 copies with you to your session. Joe will go through it with you, offering his comments and insights to help you create a narrative that admissions officers will view as distinctive and distinguishing.

Appointments are available on 3 Sunday afternoons this month on a first-come, first-served basis. Phone the Reference Desk at 594-5003 to reserve your place.
